Warehouse Management System Access

Surcharges

EPack applies a surcharge to all freight fees. This surcharge is made up of 3 components

  1. Variable Fuel Surcharge (VFS) - This is the fee that courier companies apply to offset the fluctuating fuel prices. Since transportation is heavily influenced by fuel prices, this surcharge helps ensure that delivering your parcels remains economically viable. This surcharge is calculated as a percental the base shipping rate and will fluctuate with the price of fuel.

  2. Road User Charge (RUC) - This is a government levy that provides funds to maintain the roads in New Zealand. Calculated as a percentage of the base rate. 

  3. Temporary Service Continuity (TSC) - This  surcharge helps cover costs from operating expenses caused by extraordinary events. Calculated as a percentage of the base rate.

The surcharge is calculated by the carrier at the end of each month for the following month.
